My artistic inspiration comes from my experiences as a woman and a strong connection to nature. Using traditional collage techniques I re-purpose found imagery, collecting bits of female figures, landscapes, and other items from nature from vintage books and magazines. The image sourcing involves time spent observing and reflecting on depictions of women in the past and how it informs my identity. Several combinations are tested until a match reveals itself that is visually pleasing and thought-provoking. Each collage tells part of my personal story while exploring themes of Domesticity, Eco-Feminism, and idealized beauty.

- This piece is from the recent series "Good Housekeeping", which is my artistic response to staying home during the Covid-19 pandemic. House plants have long been a part of my surroundings beginning with my maternal grandmother whose plants I have in my home today. During the pandemic I have spent much time tending to my indoor garden and reflecting on the role of our home environment and the things we do to make it our personal space. The plants in these collages provide comfort, companionship, and protection for the nude female form that is intertwined with them.
