For her curation with Showfields Lydia has brought together a collection of works that discuss femininity, identity, and portraiture in new and interesting ways.

Maria Vogel is an independent writer and curator based in New York City. She is passionate about activating 'non-art' spaces and introducing curated exhibitions outside of the established art market. For her curation with Showfields Maria has selected a group of New York based artists whose ongoing dynamic practices through the past year demonstrate the city's resilience in the wake of unprecedented turmoil.

Young New Yorkers
Showfields is hosting an art fundraiser to benefit Young New Yorkers in their mission to use art to engage and empower system-involved young people and bring positive systemic change to the ways that they are arrested, prosecuted, and sentenced in New York’s criminal legal and family court system. Curated by: Jenée Daria Strand, Curatorial Assistant for the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum.

Participating Artists: Demarcus McGaughey, Jonathan Rosen, Justin Sterling, Mark Clennon, Mildred Beltre, Murjoni Merriweather, Pedro Troncoso, Sebastien Pierre, Shamar Betts, Tom Smith, and Will Porter.
