Susan Lee-Chun
Susan Lee-Chun’s artistic practice investigates origin, meaning and representation. Her recent sculptural work takes an anthropological approach to explore themes of identity and representation politics, and the curiosity of origin and meaning through the discovery and creating of new “artifacts”. The construction and display of these artifacts (and ideas) represent deeply buried ideas and perceptions in our social fabric, and portray a surface interest and yearning to find a link to a history of what they could mean or meant to a time or people.
