Anna Teiche has always been fascinated by textiles. Using oil paints and gouache, Teiche creates portraits and patterned still life that explores identity and intersectionality. Often using bright, saturated colors and patterns found throughout her travels, Teiche’s paintings playfully recombine her surroundings into observations of the identities of those she paints and their perspectives.
