Lexicon Love is an Australian born collage artist. She is drawn to the surreal and unsettling, and is always seeking out the unexpected connections between Humour and tragedy. She uses simple techniques to create her work, focusing on the handmade and welcoming any imperfections that come with her practice. Remixing the old with the new to create new truths, She organises and reorganises until it ‘feels right’.

Exhibitions and Awards: Lexicon Love has participated in group exhibitions across the world, from New York and Miami, including showing at Scope Art Fair in 2019 as part of the Samsung Special Category, to places throughout the UK, her work has a widespread audience. In addition to multiple Solo shows in Sydney Australia, Lexicon Love has been included in numerous publications including Aesthetica Magazine and Create Magazine and The Penn Review

Lexicon Love often obscures the faces of her portraits with food. This is designed to not only challenge traditional notions of beauty, but also to provoke, tease and confuse the observer.
She does not set out to control the outcome of any piece but rather wants the observer to empathise with the subject through subtle suggestion.  By concealing the faces, she remove any distraction and invite the observer to slow down and join the dots in order to seek out the hidden.
