Spongelle Interview: Elaine Binder

What inspires you?

EB: Waking up every morning happy to face the new day and create Spongelle’s legacy for generations of families to come. And always the thoughts of my kids and grandkids and how blessed I am to have my big family next. 


How would others describe you?

EB: Motivated, sassy, confident, creative, inspiring, hard working- all these came from a few of my team members lol.  


What do you do in your free time?

EB: Read, walk by the beach holding hands with my partner/co-founder/husband Michael, spend time with my mom, speak with my youngest son Daniel, who is graduating Georgetown Medical school, visit my kids, Art and Eric (COO at Spongelle) and their beautiful wives, and play with my 4 grandkids, 2 girls and 2 boys.


What do you believe is your superpower?

EB: Healing. 


What has been the most powerful piece of criticism you've received and how has it affected your career?

EB: Sometimes I can be demanding which comes off too strong. Yet I am always considerate of people’s feelings and make sure I stay clear and comforting during the process.  


Do you ever experience burnout and how do you handle it?

EB: Not in the past 20 years since I have been leading Spongelle Beyond Cleansing company. 


What motivated you to start your company? 

EB: An idea to change the way we shower.. and look where Spongelle is today..Proud to be a part of Innovation Technology with worldwide patents in every category you can think of- personal care, bath and body, kids, pets, medical, auto and the list can go on and on. With Spongelle Body Wash Infused Buffers the company is literally just getting our feet wet with what we can do with our Delivery System Proprietary Infusion Process.
